The research into plague control around the implant has shown that Waterpiks are helpful instruments. To help keeping the gum, around the implant, clean and hence helping our oral health and as a result our bodies healthy we have to keep the plaque away on the day to day basis. Since brush does not reach between our teeth and under the gum, flossing is needed. Now, studies have shown that tufted flosses can leave shreds of the floss around the implant causing inflammation, bone loss and eventual loss of implant while Waterpik can clean nicely. Though other flosses are still good. I hope this helps.
